Saarbrücken
Located at the crossroads of Germany, France, and Luxembourg, Saarbrücken is often described as Germany’s Franco-German capital – a city shaped by cross-border collaboration, industrial transformation, and European exchange. In a region where cooperation across cultures, institutions, and industries has become part of everyday life, Saarbrücken represents a powerful setting for conversations on the future of technology, leadership, and society.
Once defined by coal and steel, the region has evolved into a growing hub for digital innovation, advanced manufacturing, and applied research. Today, Saarbrücken is home to one of Europe’s leading computer science and AI ecosystems, bringing together world-class research institutes, international industry partners, and a rapidly developing startup landscape focused on shaping the next phase of Europe’s digital future.
